The Writers Workshop for Kids
In theme-based creative writing classes, students (grades 2+) will explore a variety of writing styles & story elements. Past themes have included: a pirate’s treasure hunt, diaries, animal superheroes, awesome antonyms and silly synonyms, and much more! Essay writing classes help prepare students for standardized testing in the areas of narrative, summary, response to literature, and persuasive essays. A Writing Workshop for Children

This fun, interactive enrichment workshop will stretch your child’s imagination and help them zap their ideas onto the page. Students will uncover the key to creating memorable characters, learn how to incorporate conflict into their work, and discover what it takes to write a great story! They will also illustrate their stories, and at the end of the six hour course, take home a unique, special journal. Published playwright and author, Nancy D’Aleo Russey has taught creative writing to hundreds of children at thirteen different schools.
