Does your child need help in developing the confidence he or she requires to be successful in elementary school math, pre-algebra, algebra, or geometry?  There’s where I can help!  My name is Barbara Freeman, and I’m a former home school parent who has taught math classes through the Orange County Dept. of Education at CHEP as well as tutored high school students at PCHS in their math lab.  I am passionate about assisting students to develop a love for math and instilling in them the confidence to tackle the subject fearlessly.  Come to me (Costa Mesa) or I can work with your son or daughter in the comfort of your home.

Mathnasium
Mathnasium offers an individualized and customized primary or supplemental math program for children in Kindergarten through Pre-Calculus. They begin with an initial assessment of each student’s mathematical strengths and weaknesses. A tailor-made math program is then developed to accommodate your child’s mathematical needs and wants. Whether your child is working at grade level, in need to extra support, or ready for enrichment, Mathnasium’s program meets as well as exceeds California state standards for math. Computational skills are taught and reinforced using specific mental and written techniques. Problem solving and mathematical thinking skills are taught throughout their curriculum.

Mathnasium’s goal is to significantly increase each student’s math skills, understanding of mathematical concepts, and overall performance, while building confidence and forging a positive attitude toward the subject. Group and individual lessons are available year-round. Please call 714-538-0700.

Sound Start Reading & Math for Kinders
This individualized program incorporates phonics, leveled reading, and math instruction specifically designed for home schooled students. Parents are encouraged to accompany their kindergartner and participate in these dynamic and FUN learning experiences, blending audio, visual, and kinesthetic learning styles to maximize understanding.
