I am in awe of those moms who do it all. You know the types. The moms who can lead a group, plan a party, look great, greet everyone with a smile, and homeschool their kids. This year I’ve met a whole group of them. I just highlight a few here because, well, I just hung out with them this morning in a well-planned Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast event…fun for both kids and moms alike.
I arrived a little early to prep my Einstein’s Bagels (do they make you smarter?) and these women were already in the kitchen whipping up the green eggs in the blender, arranging muffins, and chit chatting about everything under the sun. I was lucky enough to catch up with the Ladera Ranch Homeschool Network’s fearless leader and got tips about a basketball league for my son.
I love meeting new people. As always, when I attend a homeschooling event, I meet new faces. It seems like homeschooling is a growing trend. Does that make me trendy? Please say yes.
I also love real people. I’ve hit the jackpot with them…those that can share their peaks and valleys, their wins and losses, their successes and failures with each other. Sort of like the Real Homeschoolers of OC. Without the drama, of course.
Happy Birthday to the late Dr. Seuss. Thank you for encouraging kids to read through your wildly imaginative books. And thank you to the ladies of LRHSN for the place to gather, share, and be real…with green eggs and ham.
xoxo
