A Homeschool Center is a place where a variety of homeschool classes are available, usually in a center or church, offering quality instructors in one centralized location.

The HomeSchool Campus of OC is a ministry devoted to meeting the needs of homeschool families by providing resources that will enable them to disciple and home educate their children with confidence and excellence.

The Campus features distinguished instructors in their respective fields offering core and enrichment classes for elementary through high school aged students. Fun and educational field trips as well as service projects are available to enhance the homeschooling experience and foster meaningful relationships. In addition, HSCOC provides homeschool moms an opportunity to enjoy a time of growth and camaraderie through bible study and personal development workshops.

Wednesdays and Thursdays are filled with laughter at the Center for Spiritual Living. Family style learning means there is a little for everyone and you can pick and choose what you love. We just started this journey and are in the process of finding the right classes, at the right times, with the right facilitators to make family schooling easier for the homeschool parent who spends so little time at home.

Younger children are welcome to hang out in the nursery- moms can settle in a rocker or get into some serious track placement on the train table. There is a Happy Nails within walking distance if that is of interest, Vons is in the same center and Z Pizza if your hunger is more of the immediate kind.

S.C.H.O.O.L. is our vision of what education is headed towards- where learning is something that let’s you “be you”, do what you want to do. Where older kids who may have “outgrown” park days can connect in classes that captivate their curiousity. Where younger kids can be inspired by information that ignites their imagination and high schoolers can seek roles of leadership and mentorship in a like-minded local meeting-place.

The seeds were planted this past spring and we have sprouted some tender new leaves- classes that are unfurling and unfolding, opening minds and welcoming appetites. Our third session starts the first week of April and you are invited to see what’s in bloom.

Welcome to Great Educational Experiences (GEE!)

Great Educational Experiences is for homeschoolers who want a safe, fun, and great learning experience for their homeschooled children. My wife and I have put together classes that we feel are exceptional learning opportunities for homeschoolers. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with many years of experience in the non-profit sector, I have created and directed many programs. Over time, I have developed a real skill of bringing together awesome teachers to empower children.

This group will be a place for people to find out about and sign up for these classes. Currently we are offering Art, Science, and Make A Book classes, but we will be bringing you many other choices coming soon! In fact, if you have a great idea for a class or know a great teacher, we want to talk to them.

Our goal for the group is that we are able to provide the homeschooling community with Great Educational Experiences in a safe, fun, learning environment. My intention is to provide unique and interesting learning experiences that may not be offered anywhere else. My hope is to help the families and caretakers of children provide quality in-depth education in a fun way.
