Music Teachers Guild

Music Teachers Guild
I run a business that connects music students and teachers throughout Orange County. We have many teachers that can teach in every city of Orange County.

  • FREE introductory music lesson!
There’s absolutely no risk because your first lesson is free! Learn the instrument of your choice with one of our qualified music teachers. After your first lesson you can decide if that teacher is right for you or your child.
  • Safe and Qualified Music Teachers!
We want you to feel comfortable with your music teacher. All of our teachers go through a criminal background check as well as an extensive interview and audition process.
  • Music lessons in your home!
Don’t worry about driving far, you can take music lessons on the instrument of your choice from the comfort of your own home! Unlike other music studios, we don’t charge extra for the in-home service and there are no registration fees.
  • All Ages!
Always wanted to learn to play or sing but thought you were too old? It’s never to late to learn! Our teachers specialize in adults as well as children. All of the songs you’ve always wanted to play are available to you with just a music lesson a week, work, and motivation.
  • Reasonable Rates!
As you know, other music teachers charge upwards of sixty dollars for an hour long music lesson. There’s no need to break the bank to take music lessons; our rates are a very reasonable $30 for a half hour and $45 for an hour lesson. Our rates are the same for all instruments!

Orange County Homeschool Choir provides a secular, cross-disciplinary singing experience for homeschool children. Each unit presents songs built around a theme that provide many opportunities for further exploration into history, social studies, current events, poetry, art, and creative writing. Musically, students will learn to sing using healthy vocal technique, start reading music, sing by rote, sing in rounds and with 2- or 3-part harmony, and perform as part of the group. At the end of each unit, the choir will perform so they can share what they’ve learned while bringing joy to others.

Choirs and one-day workshops are available for other venues and locations through Con Brio Studios.

Why We Recommend Group Lessons for Young Beginners

A group setting provides excitement, friends, and inspiration during the first 2-3 difficult years of piano/keyboard lessons. After completing the class, we encourage students to continue private lessons with the instructor of their choice.Benefits of learning in a group include:

Listening
Playing music in a group helps students learn to listen and stay together with the group.

Rhythm
Working in a group helps students strengthen rhythm skills.

Solfege
When we sing the solfege (do, re, mi) syllables while reading notes or playing the keyboard, we develop a strong sense of tonality and relative pitch.

Reading
Reading music is a separate activity from performing on the keyboard, and includes using tools such as music flash cards and “secret” ways of learning the notes that make it fun and easy.

Performing
Students perform every piece by memory in front of the class, thus preparing to perform in the recitals at an early age.
